Easton Community Center Summer Camps

The camps at the ECC are state licensed and are the highest in quality. Our staff has over 30 years of experience in the field. Our staff are all screened and trained so we may provide you with counselors that are highly motivated and professional. Although safety and fun are our main focus, we also present the children with educational events that deal with science, computers, physical education, creative arts, and much more! The camps are open to all of Fairfield County. You do not have to be an Easton resident to attend.

The Little Leaders (Half Day Only)

(Ages 3 & 4)

This group is especially designed to meet the needs of younger children with a half day camp option.  Our counselors for this program are fun, energetic, experienced preschool teachers so the children continue learning and exploring all summer long. Your child will enjoy sports, arts & crafts, water play, story time, music & movement, special events and learn how to share and grow with the other campers. The counselors will be incorporating certain values such as respect, responsibility, teamwork and manners into the everyday activities. The counselors will encourage the children to try activities and master new skills. Your camper will not only leave our camp feeling a sense of accomplishment but also have new friends, songs to sing and stories to tell about the fun filled days at the ECC. This camp has limited spaces to allow for individual attention. Sign up early.

Half day camp operates 9AM – 12 noon. Have your child extend the day and enjoy lunch at camp with the new Lunch Bunch (additional fee applies).

The Wanderers

Boys and Girls (ages 4-6)

The summer Wanderers Camp runs for 10 weeks and is designed to provide a summer full of fun and activities for young campers who were in Pre K, Kindergarten and First Grade during the 2009-10 school year.

Lunch is provided to full day campers.

The full day program runs from 9AM until 4PM. Please note that we do not advise Wanderers age campers to participate in the late pick up option as such a long day is difficult for this age group.

The ECC does not use any CIT’s (counselors in training). Each staff member is specially selected for their skills and attributes with the younger age group. Under the guidance and supervision of our experienced staff, Wanderers campers will enjoy a wide variety of activities. These include:

Movement Skills -- Developing  and improving hand-eye and movement coordination that will enhance dexterity and balance.

Mini Sports - Scaled down versions of a variety of popular sports with adapted equipment. Each sport is taught within an adventure type environment.

Story Time – Our counselors will read from traditional favorites to modern children's literature.

Arts & Crafts - A wide spectrum of art and craft activities that will introduce campers to a variety of art forms and an opportunity to explore their own unique imagination.

Singing and Music - A combination of popular songs plus some special camp tunes and the opportunity to make music of their own.

Special Days & Events - There will also be a number of special events that take place throughout the summer, such as hat days, color days and carnivals.

All of these activities are carried out in a positive environment that makes the Wanderers Camp a great choice in the development of a youngster.
